WELCOME to “August Guest House Bed and Breakfast” on Tuesday 18th June, at 06:12AM, 2013 BST
There are countless Bed and Breakfast establishments up and down the country, all offering bed and breakfast facilities in their own way. Our bed and breakfast has one important aim, and that is to make you feel welcome. None of this stiff and starchy approach that some bed and breakfast receptions portray.
Mary and Michael Davies present, “August Guest House”, a handsome Victorian property with its own private parking. Situated 1 mile north of Rosedale Abbey, we offer 3 double rooms, and 1 twin room, all en-suite with spacious showers. (Single occupancy welcome at additional small charge). To make your stay more comfortable, tea-coffee making facilities, hair dryers and televisions are in all bedrooms. Each room is beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. Guests can relax in a sitting room, listen to music or watch television in front of the log fire! Enjoy a delicious Yorkshire breakfast - or something lighter if you are counting the calories. The dining room has views over the garden and panoramic views of the valley and moors.

Rosedale Abbey is in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. It boasts a glass works and tea-rooms and a golf course. There are four local inns that serve restaurant or bar meals. It is an ideal base for walking. Half an hour's drive away is Goathland, more commonly known as Aidensfield from the television series Heartbeat. Further away (about ¾ hour drive) is Whitby, Scarborough and the historical city of York. For the more energetic there are swimming pools, riding, golf, and fishing.
If you would prefer to just have a holiday in Rosedale, why not stay with us for a week or two. A holiday in Rosedale is more than just a holiday; it's an experience never to be forgotten.
